Abstract
|
|
|
One hundred-ten patients with myocardial infarction were clinically studied under hospitalization during a period of 1968-1975.
The results were summarized as follows;
1. The total cases were composed with 110 cases of myocardial infarction (70 cases of acute type and 40 cases of old type).
2. The ratio of male to female was 3. 1 : 1, and over three-fourth of patients were between fourth and sixth decade in ages.
3. As the underlying diseases, hypertension was found in 43.6% of the cases, angina pectoris in 13.6% and Diabetes Mellitus in 11.8%.
4. The ratio between anterior and posterior wall .infarction was about 1.2 to 1.
5. Among the various symptoms, recordial pain was a most common and characteristics, which was noted in 77.2% of cases.
6. Sinus tachycardia was most frequently noted (27.3%) and next LVH (25.7%),sinus bradycardia (18.2%), VPBB (12.1) and others were also observed in some cases.
7. Mortality rate was 24.5%, and 6 cases out of 27 cases died within one month from the clinical onset.
